Mona Resevoir - Jamaica

Some photos I took of the sunrise at the water resevoir near the university campus at Mona in Kingston, Jamaica. I went for a three mile walk around the resevoir each morning just after sunrise and thought I'd share the view that I was lucky enough to experience every morning.

Serenity from within...one would never know this inner water calm nestled near far reaching mountain peaks ...this breath of beauty ... is to be experienced on an island. No palm trees to be seen. Yet, Jamaica.

Wow. Those are spectacular. I really like the one with the bird in particular!

The one two down from that is great too. I might add a touch of vignetting and boost the contrast a touch... but really a great image. Composition is wonderful.

Despair, Inc.
Motivational products and posters for pessimists, underachievers, and the chronically unsuccessful.

I love that site, everything about it from the company name and tagline to the concept of taking money from pessimists, underachievers, and the chronically unsuccessful is uniquely funny.

"AT DESPAIR, INC., we believe motivational products create unrealistic expectations, raising hopes only to dash them. That’s why we created our soul-crushingly depressing Demotivators® designs, so you can skip the delusions that motivational products induce and head straight for the disappointments that follow!" - E.L. Kersten, Ph.D. Founder and COO

I agree about the photos, the light filtering through the low clouds and the morning mist rising are very pretty and give a nice muted feel to colours in the scene.
